Rocinha’s Public Market

The public markets’ construction program was idealized by Rio’s city hall in order to create organized and standardized spaces for the proper functioning of the market for street vendors.

About The Work

The infrastructure is composed by bathrooms, electrical facilities, telephony and plumbing system, lighting system, circulation and living áreas, boxes, besides storage and administrative staff. The public Markets offer proper work conditions to the street vendors and restores the sidewalk spaces for the walkers.

Foundations services were executed, besides structures, masonry, coating, pavement, electrical facilities, plumbing, sanitary and mechanicals, light and gardens, tensioned canopy installation, and the implantation of a climatized system with high pressure water atomization
